Many of you will be concerned about how bees have fared during this summer’s heatwaves and droughts, especially in England and Wales.
A citizen’s science project by the Buzz Club at Sussex University investigated the impacts in 2023 and 2024 with limited success.
But they produced an initial report with some recommendations about the best bee-friendly drought tolerant plants that bees visited during a September heatwave.
Hopefully, they will resume the research in 2026.
