It was a hot Sunday when we drove down to Blackhorse Apiaries to collect our two nucs.
John was waiting for us and we had a tea by the side of his octagonal bee shed before looking through our nucs. Big Both were healthy with marked queen, lots of bees and brood in all stages.
After discussion about colony collapse disorder and nosema we took our nucs away to their new homes.
