{"id":3138,"date":"2017-11-27T23:35:00","date_gmt":"2017-11-27T22:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/urbanbees.co.uk\/blog_1\/?p=3138"},"modified":"2021-04-06T14:50:46","modified_gmt":"2021-04-06T13:50:46","slug":"the-honey-clubs-kx-bee-trail-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/blog_1\/?p=3138","title":{"rendered":"The Honey Club&#8217;s KX Bee Trail App"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Urban Bees founded the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/honey_club.html\">Honey Club<\/a>  in King\u2019s Cross, with youth charity, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalgeneration.org.uk\/about-us\">Global Generation<\/a>, and brand agency, Wolff Olins, in order to bring young people and businesses together on the new development through bee-related events, from cooking with local honey to planting for bees. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of this partnership grew the King&#8217;s Cross Bee Trail App, using new technology to introduce visitors and people who\u2019d just moved to the area for work or to live to an exciting new part of London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Bee Trail App film\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/146381131?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"625\" height=\"352\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Users of the App followed a trail. At each stop they discovered fascinating facts about bees and how to help them. At some stops they became citizen scientists IDing and counting the bees they saw, the results of which were shared with Greenspace Information for Greater London.
