{"id":241,"date":"2010-08-01T10:23:39","date_gmt":"2010-08-01T09:23:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/blog_1\/?p=241"},"modified":"2018-08-21T10:17:43","modified_gmt":"2018-08-21T09:17:43","slug":"cambodia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/blog_1\/?p=241","title":{"rendered":"Cambodia In search of the giant honey bee, Apis dorsata"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have just come back from a trip to Cambodia where we were lucky enough get involved with a honey harvest of wild <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Apis_dorsata\">Apis Dorsata <\/a>bees with a local honey hunter.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fjallravenkankensale.me.uk\/\"> Backpack<\/a> Here are some of the pictures.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xavy.fr\/-air--90-pas-cher.html\"><\/a> The honey hunter erected a rafter ( a large straight branch of wood) which seem to be just the ideal nesting position for the wild bees.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fjallravenkankensale.me.uk\/kanken-kids.html\"> <\/a> The bees build their nest on the rafter and when the honey is ready the honey hunter smokes the bees away and cuts down the honey head.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xavy.fr\/basket--air--1.html\"><\/a> The bees will replace the honey and the process can be repeated. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have just come back from a trip to Cambodia where we were lucky enough get involved with a honey harvest of wild Apis Dorsata bees with a local honey hunter.
