{"id":106,"date":"2008-08-06T11:50:06","date_gmt":"2008-08-06T10:50:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/blog_1\/?p=106"},"modified":"2018-08-21T10:17:37","modified_gmt":"2018-08-21T09:17:37","slug":"queen-in-super-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/blog_1\/?p=106","title":{"rendered":"Queen in super again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We had the BBC Newsnight crew over today to film us talking about <a title=\"A World Without Bees\" href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/books\/books.htm\" target=\"_blank\">A World without Bees<\/a> and they wanted us to open the hive to get some shots of urban beekeepers.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alter48.fr\/basket--air-.html\"> <\/a> I thought we would just go through the motions and open the super and see some honey and the brood that I put up there last week.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fjallravenkankensale.me.uk\/kanken-big.html\"> Backpack<\/a> When we opened the hive we saw brood in all stages in the super.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fjallravenkankenuk.me.uk\/k-aring-nken-no-2-uk.html\">Kanken  <\/a> This means that there is a laying queen upstairs &#8211; again.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fjallravenkankensale.me.uk\/\"><\/a> I don&#8217;t understand why and how she is getting through the queen excluder.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alter48.fr\/\"><\/a> Or maybe the hive has two queens. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had the BBC Newsnight crew over today to film us talking about A World without Bees and they wanted us to open the hive to get some shots of urban beekeepers.
