{"id":1008,"date":"2014-08-23T09:43:51","date_gmt":"2014-08-23T08:43:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/blog_1\/?p=1008"},"modified":"2018-08-21T10:16:31","modified_gmt":"2018-08-21T09:16:31","slug":"bees-choice-at-chelsea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/blog_1\/?p=1008","title":{"rendered":"Bees&#8217; choice at Chelsea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/blog_1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/beeatchelsea2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1006\" alt=\"beeatchelsea2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/blog_1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/beeatchelsea2-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>  <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/blog_1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/BeeatChelsea.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1005\" alt=\"BeeatChelsea\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urbanbees.co.uk\/blog_1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/BeeatChelsea-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The bees&#8217; choice at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rhs.org.uk\/shows-events\/rhs-chelsea-flower-show\">Chelsea Flower Show<\/a> 2014 was this lovely crimson thistle-like flower that was all over the show gardens.   <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fjallravenkankensale.me.uk\/\"> Backpack <\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rhs.org.uk\/plants\/details?plantid=429\">Cirsium rivulare &#8216;Atropurpureum<\/a>&#8216; or plum thistle.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alter48.fr\/-air--thea.html\"> <\/a> It attracted all the bees,  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fjallravenkankensale.me.uk\/kanken-classic.html\">Backpack<\/a> including this honeybee,  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fjallravenkankenuk.me.uk\/\"><\/a> when I visited on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>It usually flowers in July and August so not to late to order some for a sunny spot in the garden.<\/p>\n<p>Glad to say the foxgloves were out in force so plenty for the bumblebees to feed on.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xavy.fr\/-flyknit-lunar.html\"> flyknit lunar<\/a> And there was a wild feel to many of the smaller gardens so fairly bee-friendly with favourites including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rhs.org.uk\/plants\/details?plantid=1325\">Nepeta<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rhs.org.uk\/plants\/details?plantid=124\">Anchusa Azurea<\/a> &#8216;Loddon Royalist&#8217;, <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The bees&#8217; choice at the Chelsea Flower Show 2014 was this lovely crimson thistle-like flower that was all over the show gardens.
